CMS Published Updated Election/Addendum Models

CMS published their updated election and election addendum examples yesterday!

We wanted to provide you these examples straight from CMS, and encourage you to please adopt both of these forms for all admissions on and after October 1st! 

Remember that again we are advising that you complete the election addendum along with the election on day one. 

We recognize that completing this on day one will often require corrections and updates. The provision (not the content) is a condition of payment. Providing the addendum immediately decreases your agency's risk, even if changes are needed later. 

Now's the time to practice this. Be sure to take advantage of these last few weeks before October 1st to provide the addendum with every admission. Don't forget we still need to involve the team and the physician in the discussion about what is related!
